Things To Do
Mesa offers visitors and residents an eclectic range of recreational, cultural and scenic amenities. Whether you are seeking indoor or outdoor activity, Mesa features the best of both. As Arizona’s third largest city, our urban attractions are as popular as our scenic adventures.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy our nature and wildlife trails, on foot or horseback, and can choose from magnificent mountain or desert settings. River rafting and tubing are popular family activities, along with tower climbing and zip-lining. A trip to Mesa would not be complete without a hike along the historic Apache trail.
Cultural venues include our world famous Mesa Arts Center and historic galleries and museums. Visit a rose garden, spend the day antiquing, or enjoy live performing arts presentations at one of our theatres.
Day or night, Mesa’s downtown area is always bustling. Enjoy live music, take an art walk, or visit a beer garden or bistro for lunch or dinner. From September to June spend the first Friday of each month at Motorcycles on Main, a family-friendly tradition where over 3000 motorcyclists and spectators from all over Arizona gather to enjoy a meet-up and share music and a meal.
Galleries and businesses also welcome residents and visitors to the downtown area for its Main Street Comes Alive event on the second Friday of each month. This free event features downtown dining, art, shopping, and special themed events. There are specially scheduled activities for children and adults. This dog-friendly event features free entertainment for the entire family.
Once you experience Mesa’s limitless recreational and cultural events, you will understand why our city is branded “City Limitless.” Come enjoy it all!
